Connecting via an OpenWrt-compatible router

  1. Manually set the IP address and subnet mask on your network card. For example, 192.168.1.20/255.255.255.0 (connect to the WAN port).
  2. With the router powered off, hold the “Reset” button, then power on the router and keep holding Reset for about 10 seconds.
  3. Open a browser and go to 192.168.1.1. Select the firmware file and flash it.

  1. Wait for the flashing to complete and the router to boot (it will restart automatically).
  2. Restore automatic IP and DNS assignment on your network card.
