What is Faceter?
Section titled “What is Faceter?”Faceter is a cloud video surveillance service. It lets you connect IP cameras or a smartphone, watch a live stream online, receive event notifications, and store a recording archive in the cloud.
Is the service free?
Section titled “Is the service free?”Basic features (live view, notifications) are available for free. Advanced features — cloud storage, AI detections, multi-camera mode — are included in paid plans.
Which cameras are supported?
Section titled “Which cameras are supported?”- Faceter branded cameras
- Third-party IP cameras with RTSP support
- Smartphones running iOS or Android (Phonecam mode)
How do I reset a camera to factory settings?
Section titled “How do I reset a camera to factory settings?”Hold the Reset button on the camera body for 10 seconds until you hear a beep. After the reset, you will need to reconnect the camera.
Where is video stored?
Section titled “Where is video stored?”Video is stored in two places:
- Faceter Cloud — accessible from anywhere in the world via the app (requires a paid plan).
- SD card — local storage; no internet connection is needed to record.
